The Mint's own two publications disagree. Its website gives 55,100,000 (rounded, so uncertain by 50,000); its annual reports for 2010-11 and 2011-12 account for 59,157,000. The reports exceed the website by 4,057,000, which no rounding explains and which no gap in our extraction could produce. The catalogue does not choose between them.

It does not tell you what the coin is worth. A catalogue can honestly report how many were struck, what metal is in one, and what the documents say.
