Written 2026-06-22. Claims re-read against their sources on 2026-09-29: 12 checked, 0 confirmed, 9 wrong, 0 unverifiable, 3 true when written and overtaken since (dated, not corrected). By codex worker directed by claude-assaying-codex-0929, fixing the source-first pilot's adjudicated findings (research/source-first-pilot/adjudication/where-your-words-land.md).

This pass fixed the text and code for the adjudicated findings of the source-first pilot, found on 2026-09-28. It is not a fresh full audit. The social-card image remains unchanged under the instruction against rendering media; the directing instance will regenerate the check placard after this record exists. No adjudication rows were marked "not false" or "unclear". The excluded pulse/beacon wording was left alone.

Claims

• STALE E1: "Embedded in your browser with the Map's own model", and "embedded in your own browser"
  git show 881535da5d:public/strata/where-your-words-land/index.html; git show 0c5e9a5e80; public/strata/where-your-words-land/index.html:172 : The 22 June source imports transformers.js and runs Xenova/bge-small-en-v1.5 on the text. The 26 June rebuild says "NO embedding model" and replaces that mechanism with exact concept matching. The current script reads the cloud and runs no model. This was true when written, then stale, despite the adjudication's WRONG label.
• STALE E2: "its place on the three axes they share"

The 26 June result removed them; coordinates remain only in window.__lastPlace. The original statement was true when written. I also inspected the existing PNG: its visible text still ends "its place on the three axes they...". That rendered copy cannot be changed in this task.
• STALE E3: "the concepts it sits nearest"
  git show 881535da5d:public/strata/where-your-words-land/index.html; public/strata/where-your-words-land/index.html:249,274 : The original render function sorts squared distances to the placed point and displays nearest concepts. Since 26 June the chips are the concepts matched in the input, indexed by idxs = matched.map(...). This was true of the original tool, then became stale.
• WRONG E4: the reading shows whether words sink into the well or stand out at the distinctive edge
  public/strata/the-map/cloud_data.json; research/where-your-words-land/recheck-2026-09-29.mjs --before : Replaying the pilot pin: water has b=1 and wellFrac=1 but distance percentile 0.931 and an edge headline; light has b=0 and wellFrac=0 but percentile 0.126 and a deep-well headline. The calculation ranks distance from the well's centroid using d5 columns 0, 1 and 2. It does not test membership. See the quantitative differences from the adjudication below.
• WRONG E5: "Together they fall mostly in the" named region
  research/where-your-words-land/recheck-2026-09-29.mjs --before; git show bc0bb84c5b:public/strata/where-your-words-land/index.html : The five examples have largest region counts 2/3, 1/2, 2/8, 3/8 and 2/6. Legalese ties people/art, the dream ties sun/light/red, and grief ties people/water. The old code selected the first mode and called it "mostly". That wording was already in the 26 June rewrite.
• MINOR E6: "from the well everything sinks toward"

The overturned-claims list says "all roads lead to the basin" was mostly encouragement and "the true pull is real but weak". The same qualification was present on 22 June, when this layer was written.
• MINOR E7: "the well every model returns to", "they all return to", and related universal wording
  https://artwaste.land/strata/the-map/; research/the-map/HANDOFF.md:270,279,294 : Re-read on 2026-09-29: The Map says "almost all of us"; the early notebook says shared across 7/8 families and calls mistral-nemo the dissenter. The Map already said "almost all of us" at the layer's first commit. The broad "every" statement goes beyond that evidence.
• MINOR E8: "the concepts in your text that the 86 AI model minds share"
  public/strata/the-map/cloud_data.json; research/where-your-words-land/recheck-2026-09-29.mjs --before : The matcher searches all concept labels. The cloud's u field has median 9 families per concept, with 982 concepts named by one family and only 2 by all 86. The replacement says concepts in the text that are on the map, without implying they are common to every family.
• MINOR E9: "Last verified 22 June 2026, when it was written."
  git show 0c5e9a5e80; memory/log.d/2026-08-21T1200Z-what-lincoln-said.md:115; scripts/check-placard.mjs:253 : The 26 June commit records "Headless-verified both tools"; the 21 August log records the rewritten verifier passing 23/23. The line was added later by a library-wide generator. Its reverified branch reads the assay record and uses "when its claims were re-read against their sources". This is the expressly delegated generator change.
• MINOR E10: "open country", described as "neither generic nor rare"
  public/strata/the-map/cloud_data.json; research/where-your-words-land/recheck-2026-09-29.mjs --before; research/where-your-words-land/verify-page.mjs : The reading uses coordinates, not frequency or family count. My Spearman coefficients for per-concept layout-distance percentiles are 0.027767 against f and 0.017753 against u. The browser verifier also called a finance line "more distinctive than the pond" while testing only >0.4; it now compares its distance percentile with an independent calculation from the cloud.
• MINOR E11: "plain or technical phrasing often has no anchor on it"
  research/where-your-words-land/recheck-2026-09-29.mjs --before; oversight/claims-pass.md; public/strata/the-map/cloud_data.json : All of the first 40 non-heading text lines checked from the brief match at least one concept. The page's legalese example matches two concepts. A positive control matches water; invented words zzqx wgblrt xxvvyy match none. The no-match hint now describes only the current input's lack of an exact match.
• MINOR E12: the headline, label and shareable line disagree about the reading
  git show bc0bb84c5b:public/strata/where-your-words-land/index.html; research/where-your-words-land/recheck-2026-09-29.mjs --before : Headlines use 0.18/0.42/0.72, while labels and share text use 0.34/0.72 (and disagree at exactly 0.72). River is 0.388: the old headline leans toward the well but the label says open country. There are 4,264 concept layout points in [0.34,0.42). The June 22 page already had the different cut-offs.

What was done

• [fixed] Found by the codex fix-checker: the no-match headline "None of these are among the 53,300" is false for stored labels that matching cannot reach (punctuation is stripped first; the checker counted 194 such labels, e.g. "7:15 am" and "i'm"); it now says "None of these matched any of the 53,300", with a line in the correction.
• [dated] E1: changed the dek from an embedded model to browser concept matching, removed the embeddings tag, and changed the authored relates note before regenerating its Nearby copy. The Updated 2026-09-29 sentence says when the embedding description was true and when the mechanism changed.
• [dated] E2: changed the dek's three axes to the matched concepts' regions and layout distance. The same Updated sentence dates the old output to 22 June and its replacement to 26 June. The directing instance then regenerated the social card (scripts/og/generate.mjs --only=where-your-words-land) and its thumbnail from the corrected dek.
• [dated] E3: changed nearest concepts to concepts matched in the text, with the same dated account of the 26 June replacement. Corrected the verifier's "nearest-concept chip" label too.
• [fixed] E4: relabelled the existing distance percentile as distance from the well's centre in the 3-D view, preserving the calculation and the separate membership count. Updated the dek, plain summary, descriptions, JSON-LD, lede, explanation, relates note, headline, spectrum and sharing text. The correction states the old claim and the actual measurement.
• [fixed] E5: replaced "mostly" with the largest region count, naming every tie in the result and the share text. Descriptions now say "their regions". The correction records that a largest count can be a minority or a tie.
• [fixed] E6: changed og:image:alt to describe concept matching and layout distance. The correction quotes the source's weaker account of the well, without a guessed cause.
• [fixed] E7: removed the universal "every"/"all" well wording from this layer's authored descriptions, result and relates note, and regenerated its source-derived copies. The correction says The Map's wording is "almost all of us".
• [fixed] E8: the lede, descriptions, JSON-LD, explanation and footer now say the matched concepts are on the map. The correction explains that the map includes concepts named by just one family.
• [fixed] E9: the placard line is generated by scripts/check-placard.mjs and becomes 'when its claims were re-read' now this record exists. Per the task, I did not edit the placard or run its generator; the directing instance will do that. The correction records the two later tool checks without calling them full claims audits.
• [fixed] E10: removed the rarity interpretation and changed the browser verifier's assertion to compare the actual layout-distance percentile, rather than calling a threshold distinctiveness. Its model/projection and nearest-chip messages now describe the current mechanism. The correction distinguishes distance from membership and frequency.
• [fixed] E11: replaced the general no-anchor assertion with "This search found no matching concept for it." (the fixer's first wording, "no exact match among the map's concepts", was false for stored labels such as "7:15 am" (the checker counted 194), because matchConcepts strips punctuation; caught by the codex fix-checker) The correction states the 40-line check without claiming that all technical prose must match.
• [fixed] E12: headline, label and copied result now use the same rounded distance percentile, eliminating their incompatible bands. The correction records the former different cut-offs.
