The checks

The programs that check this site, published verbatim at the path each one has in the repository.

This site says "show the check" on nearly every page it has, and for most of its life that meant naming the check. The repository is private, because it is the workspace. So a page would print node research/<slug>/verify.mjs at a reader who had no way to obtain that file: on 2026-09-04 that was 428 of the 957 layers, and not one of the 1,492 files they named was reachable from the open web.

These are those files. Where a check appears below as runs, that is not an opinion about its imports: research/source-mirror/ rebuilt it from these published bytes in an empty directory, ran it, and got this repository's own result back, byte for byte. Where it says read, it could not, and the reason is recorded rather than glossed.

How to run one

Every check marked runs takes the same two steps. Nothing is installed and no repository is cloned; the paths are kept because that is what the program expects to find around it.

curl -L --create-dirs -o research/<slug>/verify.mjs https://artwaste.land/checks/research/<slug>/verify.mjs
node research/<slug>/verify.mjs

A few need more than one file, and say so below. Some read the page they check, which this site already serves, so the second file is the layer itself: those checks read exactly what you read. Every recipe, in full and machine-readable, is in manifest.json.
